This fall, the Highland East Junior High yearbook staff earned their second consecutive "Sweepstakes" title from Oklahoma Scholastic Media. Their book finished FIRST overall in Division III — the "small high school" division

Did we mention that these 8th-grade junior high journalists won a High School-level award?

Cougar Yearbook Advisor Erik Jackson said, “I have attended OSM/ OIPA since the age of 13, and it is such a pleasure to be able to take our kids to the conference,” adviser Erik Jackson said. “Our students were so excited and they represented our school with class. I am proud of their hard work and commitment to excellence.”
